TARZANA
A cluttered 1970s home lacking architectural character was transformed into a calm, sophisticated space rooted in wabi-sabi principles. We completely rebuilt the bathrooms and kitchen to better support busy family life, introducing durable materials, all-new seating, and custom built-ins that streamline storage and daily routines. By embracing natural, textured materials—hand-finished woods, matte ceramics, and linen textiles—we cleared visual clutter and introduced quiet warmth.
A restrained palette of terracotta, muted olive, and soft cream unifies the rooms, while smart storage and carefully chosen sentimental objects preserve family life and maintain airy sightlines. A dedicated wine bar and a reconfigured kitchen with excellent flow and integrated seating support a family that loves to cook and gather. Layered lighting and tactile rugs create cozy moments throughout, resulting in a lived-in, modern home that honors its era while providing a serene backdrop for everyday life.
